The Salvation Army started its annual year-end street fundraising campaign on Friday. It is collecting donations at 440 red kettles across the country until Dec. 31.

The religious institution had a launch ceremony at 11 a.m. in Gwanghwamun, central Seoul.

This year's target is 14.5 billion won ($12.94 million), up from 10.8 billion won last year.
