Seoul's first snow of the season is likely to fall on Wednesday.

"On Wednesday evening, the temperature of the lower air will drop due to the continental anticyclone that expands from the northwestern part of the country, causing rain," the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said.

"It could be mixed with, or turn to, snow."

The first snow will be recorded as official when it is seen at KMA's Seoul Meteorological Observatory, located in Songwol-dong, Jongno-gu.

South Korea's first snow was observed on Oct. 18 around Mount Seorak, according to the Seorak National Park office of the Korean National Park Service.
