A minor 2.3-magnitude
was detected in the sea off the southern city of Yeosu, Tuesday. There were no reports of damage or casualties.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), the quake happened at 2:10 p.m. about 57 kilometers south of Yeosu, at a depth of 17 kilometers.
“It took place far away from the land," a KMA official said.
