Seoul to host vegan festival Sunday

Seoul City will host a vegan festival on Sunday.

More than 80 companies will participate in the 4th Vegan Festival at Seoul Innovation Park in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, showcasing their food products wholly based on vegetables, grains or fruits. Five percent of profits will be donated to promote animal welfare, the city government said.

The event will also promote the health benefits of a vegetarian diet and related campaigns.

“This event is one of the city’s signature events promoting the protection of animals and environment,” a Seoul official said. “I hope many people will come and enjoy the event.”
