Daejeon City has picked six “global real estate agencies” to help foreigners looking for a house in the city. The agencies have English-speaking realtors, the city said Thursday.

One agency is in the city’s Jung-gu district, two in Yuseong-gu, two in Seo-gu and one in Daedeok-gu. The agencies can be identified by a city-issued hallmark attached to their entrance.

“Daejeon has nearly 19,000 foreign residents,” a city official said. “Many of them have found it difficult to find a home due to the lack of (real estate) information available in a foreign language. We also are looking for agencies that can provide services in Chinese and Japanese.”
