Foreign students at Hanyang University are collecting donations to help earthquake victims in Mexico.

The campaign began on Thursday with a booth set up on campus by student volunteers. The campaign will continue for one month. Donations will be delivered to the Mexican embassy in Seoul.

A powerful 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Mexico City on Sept. 19, killing more than 300.

Hanyang has 32,600 students (including about 7,000 from overseas), 4,500 faculty members and 3,600 non-teaching employees at its campuses in Seoul and Ansan, Gyeonggi Province.
