Kyung Hee University will provide free journalism courses for its graduates. The university said Wednesday its graduate school of journalism and communication will offer free programs for school graduates next spring and fall semester.
While more and more universities offer free courses for their graduates amid the global finance crisis that is preventing many youngsters landing jobs, Kyung Hee has also participated in the wave to re-train and re-educate their graduates, the school official said. Any graduates from the journalism school can apply for as many courses as they want to take.
The journalism school, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, will give certification to the course takers. ``Many people are suffering from the economic downturn and we hope our graduates come to our beautiful campus, meditate and gain fresh vigor for their lives through our free programs,'' said Lee In-hee, dean of the school.
