Prime Minister Han Duck-soo said Friday he would actively cooperate with the police's investigation into President Yoon Suk Yeol's short-lived imposition of martial law last week.

On Tuesday, police requested Han and 10 other officials who attended a Cabinet meeting just before Yoon's Dec. 3 declaration of martial law to appear for questioning as part of the investigation into alleged insurrection.

"I will cooperate well according to the investigation proceedings," said Han during a parliamentary interpellation session.

When asked about how he could be seen as a sympathizer to the martial law declaration, Han rejected the accusation and vowed to "actively" cooperate with the investigation for the authorities to make a decision. (Yonhap)
