Moon rebuffs finance minister's resignation offer

South Korea's President Moon Jae-in on Tuesday turned down a resignation offer by Finance Minister Hong Nam-ki's and reappointed him, the presidential office said.

"Deputy Prime Minister Hong Nam-ki offered his resignation to the president shortly after the cabinet meeting today, but the president immediately returned and reappointed," the presidential Blue House spokesman Kang Min-seok said. (Reuters)
