Computer users have been warned to be on the alert for new malware that targets those making international transactions.
According to AhnLab, Korea's information security solution business, Wednesday, “Lokibot” is disguised as an attached file in an email.
It extracts a user's information from the web browser and sends personal information through a command control program. When Lokibot is activated, hackers can remotely control the user's computer without the user knowing.
Ahn Lab warned international buyers not to click on suspicious emails and files and to upgrade their antivirus software to the latest version.
