President Moon Jae-in will hold his first live media conference next week to mark his 100th day in office, the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae said Friday.
The conference will be held Thursday at Cheong Wa Dae, involving hundreds of journalists from local and foreign news outlets.
Moon has briefly attended a couple of press briefings to announce his nominees for new ranking government officials, but the upcoming meeting with the media will mark the first of its kind where he is expected to take a series of questions on any issue.
The new South Korean leader took office on May 10. Thursday will mark his 100th day in the top elected office.
Also on next Sunday, the president will speak directly to hundreds of everyday citizens who offered their own policy recommendations for the so-called people's transition team, according to Cheong Wa Dae. (Yonhap)
