First lady Kim Jung-sook visited an elementary school in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, Thursday, to greet students who sent 457 handwritten letters in May asking for a meeting with her.
Kim also presented them with a handwritten letter.
“If you extend your true hearts, it always moves others, like your letters led me to come here,” Kim wrote. “My husband and I will work hard to make the country happier for children and make your family smile.”
As an honorary one-day teacher, Kim played and spoke casually with the students. She also sang together with the school’s choir in the auditorium.
In the letters to Kim, the students asked for a meeting with her. Cheong Wa Dae posted a video about the visit on Twitter.
