A

video clip showing three comedians from the KBS live comedy show “Gag Concert” visiting a cancer patient with only a few days to live has gone viral.

Song Joon-geun, 36, Lee Sang-ho, 35, and Lee Sang-min, 35, visited the father of two as a surprise to celebrate his wedding anniversary.

The comedians, holding a cake and candles, enter the dying man’s hospital room. They also give his family a camera, with which the comedians take pictures of the patient and his family. They also watched video messages to the patient.

The visit took place on Nov. 21, a newspaper quoted Song as saying on Thursday. The patient died a week later.

The actors made the visit after being contacted by a smartphone app company dedicated to helping users make their wishes come true. The company had learned about Woo Do-hee, a student, who wished to give her father, who had late-phase pancreatic cancer, an “unforgettable wedding anniversary gift.”

The video shows the app company’s staff planning the visit with the comedians.

In response to another request, the actors also delivered pizzas to high school students who finished the CSAT in the same month.

Best known for his role as “Mansour” in “Gag Concert,” which satirized rich oil industrialist Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan from the United Arab Emirates, Song performs with the Lees in the popular skit, “Dakchigo.”
