48% applaud male's make-up if not excessive: survey
Both males and females are found to regard male’s make-up positive, saying that ‘make-up is individuality’ if it is not excessive. However, not a few males and females in their 50s were negative about the male’s make-up, noting that it is viewed to become excessively feminine or sales gimmick of cosmetics makers.
As many as 48 percent of the respondents replied that make-up is individuality and it does not matter if it is not excessive, according to a recent survey.
The survey was conducted for 800 adults―100 males and females each in each age bracket from 20s to 50s -- conducted by online research site, Tillion, of SK Marketing & Co.
The poll shows 21.6 percent replied that even male’s appearance is competitive power. However, 19 percent in the 50s pointed out that males seem to become too much woman-like and 18 percent said that it is cosmetics makers’ tactic to promote sales.
About 45 percent of the respondents said that it is optimum to put on skincare products as standard of male’s optimum make-up, with 51.3 percent of males replying the basic cosmetics is acceptable, compared to 38.5 percent of females.
About 30 percent of the female respondents replied that cleansing and eye cream for males are acceptable and 22.3 percent of the female respondents said that sun cream and skin blemish balm cream is acceptable cosmetics for men’s make-up.
