License required for e-scooters

From Thursday, a revision to the Road Traffic Act will come into effect, allowing only people with a Class II drivers' license for motorcycles or higher drivers' licenses to ride e-scooters. Class II drivers' licenses for motorcycles are available for those aged over 16 who fulfill the appropriate requirements. A previous rule, adopted last December, allowed people from the age of 13 to use the scooters. Yonhap
