A middle-aged South Korean man died on a Vietnamese plane flying to Hanoi from Incheon on Saturday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the incident happened on Vietnam Airlines VN415 at around 8 p.m. ― two hours after the plane took off from Incheon International Airport.
The man, 56, fainted and lost consciousness, according to people on the plane. A doctor on the plane offered emergency treatment for about 30 minutes, but to no avail.
With an investigation under way, crew members told police they saw no signs of a health problem when the man boarded the plane.
An official at the South Korean embassy in Hanoi said the death had nothing to do with coronavirus.
