Hongkonger dies during liposuction in South Korea: report

Police are investigating the death of a Hongkonger who died while undergoing a fat removal procedure, or liposuction, at a plastic surgery clinic in Sinsa-dong, Seoul.

According to the Sehye Ilbo daily, the case was reported to police at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The victim was a woman, 35. No further details were known.

Police said the victim showed “abnormal symptoms” during the procedure. She was sent to a general hospital but declared dead.
