into a car after traveling the wrong way for about 19 kilometers on the Dangjin-Yeondeok Expressway in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province, Tuesday, killing himself, his son and the car's driver.

The man, surnamed Park, 40, started driving in the opposite direction at 7:16 a.m. He crashed into a Kia Forte 18 minutes later.

Park and his son, 3, died at the scene. Choi, 29, the driver of the car, was taken to hospital but died shortly after. She was on her way to work.

Police were chasing Park's truck but could not stop him before the collision.

Park's wife called police when she found that Park left with their son. “My schizophrenic husband might be dangerous because he has not been taking pills recently,” she told them.
