A Korean man, 60, has been sentenced to 15 years' jail for murdering his Filipina wife, according to Ulsan District Court.
The defendant stabbed and strangled his wife, 38, at their home on Dec. 9 last year, the court said.
The two had been married seven years.
The court stated that the husband had neither a clear motive nor extenuating circumstances. The court concluded that the killing was an expression of hatred against an immigrant woman who happened to be his wife.
The court statement said that the husband had surrendered and confessed.
The prosecutors had sought 20 years' jail.
