Police book trespasser who attacked dog after it bit him

Police have booked an alleged trespasser who flew into a rage and hit a dog after it bit him.

They said the man, surnamed Shim, 45, tried to stroke the Great Pyrenees breed dog that was tied up in a Busan building when it bit him on the right index finger.

The man started hitting the dog with a wooden stick and a plastic basket, according to police Tuesday. He slapped a nephew of the dog's owner on the face when he tried to intervene.

Shim allegedly beat the dog on the head and neck several times.

He allegedly told police he flew into a rage when the dog bit him.

Police detained Shim at the scene.
