A South Korean man has been missing on Saipan for seven weeks, the foreign ministry said Wednesday.

The man in his 40s was last seen at a hotel on Feb. 14, the ministry said, citing information from local police. The ministry said the man was in Saipan for sightseeing, but didn't give further details.

“Local police are exploring all possibilities, including his involvement in a criminal act or an accident,” a ministry official said.
