Body parts apparently belonging to a man in his 50s were found on a hill near the Seoul Grand Park on city's southern outskirts on Sunday morning.

According to Gwacheon Police, the head and torso had been in plastic bags for about a week before a security guard called police after detecting a smell.

The police fingerprint database showed the body parts belonged to a man in his 50s from Gyeonggi Province.

Police have been checking calls to and from the man's mobile phone.
