Missing woman found dead on Jeju Island

A woman who went missing on Jeju Island last week has been found dead.

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency said Wednesday they found her body on southwestern Jeju about 10:50 a.m.

The woman, surnamed Choi, 38, disappeared near Sehwa Port on northeastern Jeju on July 25.

Police said the National Forensic Service will perform an autopsy to find the cause of her death.

Choi, who was a resident of Ansan in Gyeonggi Province, came to the island on July 20 with her husband and two children to go camping.
