A Yemeni student, who claimed he was a prince of the Middle East country, was sentenced to six months in prison for obstruction of justice, Tuesday.

According to the Incheon district court, the imposter beat up a police officer in a drunken rampage, kicking and slapping the officer's face many times.

He resisted arrest by shouting,” “my father is king of Yemen.”

He made the same false claim during the previous trial for a different case.

At first, the judge had deliberations on imposing a fine considering emotional distress he felt from his country's crisis. However, the judge decided to give six months jail term to give him a stern warning.
