Eight injured in 'hagwon' bus crash

Eight people were injured, one seriously, when a ‘hagwon” (private learning institute) bus carrying students careened head-on into a car and came to a stop on a hillside in Ulju, Ulsan, Sunday, police said Monday.

The bus driver told police the brakes had failed.

The accident happened at around 4:51 p.m.

A child, 10, suffered a fractured collar bone.

The bus was carrying 20 passengers.

Police are investigating.
