Missing woman found dead

A woman who had been missing for five on Jeju Island has been found dead, police said Monday.

The body of Park Joo-sun, 28, was found at a beach in Tap-dong at around 2 p.m. An investigation is under way to find the cause of death.

Park was last seen at a convenience store in Donam-dong, Jeju, at around 4 p.m. last Thursday, according to police. CCTV footage shows her wearing black pants, a blue T-shirt and a gray long-padded jacket.

Police said she returned home drunk at around 2 p.m. on Thursday after having a meal with colleagues. She then left home after telling her mother that she was going to see her friends.
