A high school student attacked his girlfriend’s mother because she disapproved of their dating, police said Thursday.
The student, 17, struck the woman’s head with a blunt weapon at his girlfriend’s apartment complex in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries and is being treated in hospital. The student was caught shortly afterward. Police will seek an arrest warrant for him.
The student told police he committed the crime because he was upset about the woman’s repeated opposition to him dating her daughter. Police said the two had dated since June.
