Comedian Ahn Siu was arrested for drunk driving, said police on Friday.

He was apprehended shortly after ramming into a bus stopped on a street in Deungchon-dong, northwest of Seoul, at 7:15 a.m. He was sitting behind the wheel with a blood alcohol level of 0.198 percent, which was high enough to get his driver’s license canceled, according to the Gangseo Police Station dealing with the case. No one was injured in the accident.

“He claimed he drank only a bottle of soju,” said an investigator familiar with the case. “An investigation is under way and we will soon decide how to deal with him.”

Ahn made his comedian debut in 2007 through a comedian recruiting contest hosted by SBS, one of the biggest broadcasters in Korea.
