Camarata Music is getting ready for its next “Christmas with Camarata” concert this Saturday.

This year’s festive choral event will be held at Joongang Sungkyul Church, near Dongdaemun Station on Seoul Metro lines 1 and 4.

The annual “Christmas with Camarata” concert is the biggest and most exciting event of the year put on by the international nonprofit music organization founded in 2009 in Seoul.

The concert will feature performances by the Camarata Chorale, Orchestra and soloists, conducted by Ryan Goessl, resident conductor and artistic director of Camarata Music. They will perform Vivaldi's "Gloria," along with holiday favorites such as "Silent Night" and the "Hallelujah Chorus."

Camarata is widely recognized for its musical excellence, well-known to the government, foreign embassies in Korea, chambers of commerce and more. Camarata's Chamber Singers won the "Best of the Best" award at the 2019 Presidential Choral Competition. Goessl, who has a doctorate in choral conducting, also represents Korea on the World Choir Council.

Goessl claims that Camarata is the world’s most diverse music organization, boasting over 100 singers and 40 orchestral musicians coming from 111 countries over its history.

The show starts at 7 p.m. this Saturday. Tickets cost 25,000 won in advance, or 35,000 won at the door. Visit camaratamusic.org or email tickets@camaratamusic.com for more information.
