The Great Korean Beer Festival 2017, Korea’s first and largest craft beer festival, will be held at Yongsan Electronics Shopping Mall Oct. 27 to 29.

The festival will host 18 craft beer breweries and eight global food companies from across the peninsula.

Yongsan Electro IPA, specially brewed to celebrate the festival, will be launched and can be sampled on site.

In particular, the festival is organized with the Yongsan Electronics Market Association to revitalize the shopping area and develop local tourist attractions.

The event also offers other unique programs such as live music performances, the chance to see new IT gadgets up close, a 100 won auction of electronic products and discounts.

This year’s festival will offer craft beers from all over the country including Seoul, Busan, Jeju Island and Gangwon Province.

Guests can also sample international beers from the U.S. and Czech Republic and learn about beer from brew masters.

A wide range of international foods available will include premium sausage plates of Jinju ham, jamon and paella of Spain Club, New York’s representative Halal Foods by Jilhal Bros, California Pizza Kitchen, Mad Fisherman and food trucks selected by the Best Food Truck Cooperative that can be found at designated areas.

In addition to craft beer and global food, there will be a lot to enjoy at the festival in cooperation with Electro Land and Najin and Sunin plazas.

The IT Experience Zone will allow visitors to participate in a 100 won auction and purchase electronic products at discounts, as well as the chance to use IT devices including drones, which will be held throughout the event.

Both locals and expats are invited to participate in the Halloween Costume Contest and show off their costumes while given the chance to win 1.5 million won worth of goods.

The festival runs from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the Halloween costume contest being held from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Entrance is free.
