The Camarata Chorale and Orchestra will perform Durufle’s “Requiem” at Shinchon Sungkyul Church in Seoul, Saturday.
The upcoming spring production will include Schubert’s “Mass in G Major” and Lussier’s “Bacchanale” Concerto for Flute and Bassoon.
“Requiem will be performed in solemn remembrance of the lives tragically cut short in the sinking of the Sewol ferry three years ago,” the organizers said.
“Durufle’s hauntingly beautiful signature work, Requiem layers expressive Gregorian-style chant and solos against an intricately delicate orchestral score; truly a masterpiece not to be missed.”
