For those wishing they had the ability to memorize a 50-digit number in a few minutes, hypnotist Gabriel Dye will hold a memory workshop at the Camarata Music Company Studio in Seoul, April 17.
“Ever met 25 strangers and remembered all their names the next day? The next week? Committed a list of 20 to 100 items to memory, and been able to recall those items forwards, backwards and inside out?” the event organizer said.
“You’re going to leave with the tools to remember the names of everyone you meet. You’ve probably had the experience of shaking hands with 25 strangers, say, at a networking event or a party. Honestly, how many people could you call out ― by name ― on the street the next day? We’ll bump it up to at least 95 percent recall ― and I'm being conservative.”
Promising guests the option of treating your memory like a filing cabinet and not a black hole, the workshop promises positive results.
“Stop relying on luck to remember things,” said Dye.
The workshop will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and costs 50,000 won.

To get to the Camarata Music Company Studio, take exit 2 of Noksapyeong Station. Walk straight to the intersection, and veer left to HBC at the kimchi pots. Walk about 400 meters (about five minutes) to the studio. Look for the white sign on your left, sandwiched between Camping Company and a CU convenience store. Jacoby’s Burger is directly across the street.
