U.K. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg launched a campaign in Korea to showcase the country’s strong points, Tuesday, at an event in Seoul hosted by the British Embassy.

The GREAT campaign, which ties in with the country’s hosting of the London Olympic Games, seeks to “promote and enhance the country’s reputation abroad,” the embassy said in a release.

In town for the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit, Clegg was joined by more than 150 guests representing Korea’s government, business, and media sectors including former Korean Prime Minister Han Seung-soo.

“I’m delighted to end this wonderful visit to Korea by launching the GREAT campaign,” Clegg said. “I hope that this occasion will serve to further strengthen the long and close relationship between the UK and Korea.”

British Ambassador Scott Wightman expressed confidence in the campaign that seeks to bring in more tourism, business and students.

“Whether it’s our skill in high-tech engineering or focus on sustainable development, our world-class educational institutes or cutting-edge creativity and innovation, the campaign lets us show the true face of modern Britain,” he said.

Korea is the latest country where an official launching event was held following high profile events in places such as Brazil and the United States.
