BAFIK offers fitness boot camp

British Army Fitness in Korea (BAFIK) is holding a boot camp program until the end of February.

Battling the bulge and wanting to get fit? Help is here with this new program. Ex-British Army Warrant Officer Ian Matthews has brought his U.K. army-style boot camp to Seoul.

The Itaewon boot camps are located at Namsan Park with the start point outside the Grand Hyatt Hotel main entrance (near the gazebo) every Monday and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and every Saturday at 10.30 a.m.

It costs 20,000 won for one session, 80,000 won for six sessions and 140,000 won for 12 sessions. You can start when you wish on any day and can also choose to do one, two or three sessions per week ― it is up to you.

Beginners are very welcome, whatever your fitness level or weight.

Living in Seoul orientation session

The Itaewon Global Village Center is holding a Living in Seoul orientation session on Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m.

At this session you will be able to learn about all the services and great opportunities that are out there for foreigners living in this city. Seoul is an exciting place with lots of great things to see and do. Whether you are new to Seoul or even if you have lived here for years, you will be able to get some useful tips and learn more about what Seoul has to offer.

The session will consist of an informative presentation, a Q&A session, and finally refreshments and a chance to mingle with the other guests at the end. All those who attend will also receive a package of brochures, maps, and guides that will help make your life in Seoul a lot easier and more enjoyable.

The session is free and all are welcome.

To get there leave via exit 2 of Itaewon subway station, line 6, and go straight. Cross the intersection, continuing straight. The Global Center is on the 5th floor of the Hannam Building, next to a 7-11.
