The Countdown Seoul 2012 will take place at Times Square at the Yeongdongpo Station area on Dec. 31.
Beginning in the early evening, a festival will kick off with 20 performances of different artists and bands culminating in Seoul's biggest countdown event.
For New Year's Eve 2012, Time Square, the by-day shopping mall, will transform into a big party space with several stages and lounge areas. Last year, thousands of balloons rained down from the ceiling, but this year the event will be even bigger, better and more exciting.
“At Countdown 2012, you will have the opportunity to see the most exciting artists of 2011 as well as some of next year's most anticipated artists, including UV, Breakbot, So Me, Housse de racket, Autumn Vacation, 3rd Line Butterfly, Goonamguayeoridingstella, Mongoose, The Freaks, One Punch and Summer Here Kids. Also in the line-up are 80KIDZ and DJs like DJ Silent (played at the French Horn Rebellion show at Rolling Hall), Sonyeon, Taz, Cho!ong, Qloro and Xanexx (from Xanexx music),” a press release said.
Tickets cost 77,000 won (presale) or 99,000 won (at the entrance).

The closest subway is Yeongdeungpo Station (Line 1, Stop 139) exit 3, also Mullae Station (Line 2, Stop 235) exit 4 (10 to 15 minute walk) and Yeongdeungpo Market (Line 5, Stop 524) exit 4 (10 minute walk).
Dulsori to give percussion performance
Dulsori will give a percussion performance to be held on two nights at the National Theater, Seoul beginning Dec. 29.
To be held in the DAL Theater, Dulsori, an exuberant Korean percussion group which has toured 52 countries to date, are culminating their tour with a celebration performance of their vibrant Well-wishing BINARI.
Dulsori is music ensemble, founded in 1984, based on Korean musical tradition aiming to promote Korean music to the world.
The performances start at 7:30 p.m. and tickets cost 50,000 won (VIP) and 40,000 won.
