Seoul Sisters host speed dating event

Seoul Sisters will host a speed dating event at the Dickens Bar (2nd floor of Scrooge Pub) in Itaewon on July 15 starting at 8:30 p.m.

There will be two rounds: one at 8:30 p.m. and the other at 9:15 p.m. Each date lasts 4 minutes.

Seoul Sisters have organized two successful speed dating events this year (April and June).

AMCHAM SME committee meeting

American Chamber of Commerce in Korea is to present a small and medium-sized enterprises committee meeting on July 20 from 7 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. at Seoul Finance Center.

Jose Antonio Nigro photo exhibition

Part memorial, part documentary and part expressionism, the Italian-Venezuelan photographer Jose Antonio Nigro, brings his first solo exhibition to Korea, a selection of images taken around the world in this photographic essay entitled “Paths & Reflections.” The exhibition will be at Jay Gallery between Aug. 11 and 17 from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m.

To get there, leave Anguk station, and find the entrance to the SK-HUB building, which is between Exit 5 and 6, where you will find Storyway, a convenience store, nearby.

Walk up the stairs to B1 of the SK-HUB Building, which is called Art Center.

Inside, there are galleries like Miz or Na. Passing through them southward, you can see an open-air garden outside. Jay Gallery is located there at the open-air garden.” Admission is free of charge.

Puchon Int’l Fantastic Film Festival

The Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (Pifan) will be held at the Boksagol Cultural Center and Primus Sopoong Multiplex from July 15 to 25.

The festival is one of the most anticipated events on Bucheon City’s calendar.

Pifan 2010 program include “Family Fanta,” screening movies for all audiences; “Ani Fanta,” one of the most popular programs which shows unique animated films; and the Special Program, which shows retrospectives of selected directors.

Most of the events will take place at the Boksagol Cultural Center, however, there will also be screenings at the Primus Sopoong Multiplex, which is located at the Bucheon Bus Terminal.

As well as the movie screenings, the Fantastic Concert, Fantastic Book Fair, and various other events will also be held, making the festival a great event for Bucheon’s citizens and for tourists.
