Musical Jewel in Palace Attracts Foreigners

The smash TV hit, Jewel in the Palace, is now a spectacular musical, with English subtitles being staged at the Gyeonghuigung Palace, Seoul from Sept .5 to 30.

The story focuses on the life of Jan Geum, the first female physician of Korea's Joseon Kingdom.

This colorful musical spectacle with tons of scenery, captivating score, magical dancing and amazing performances transforms audiences to another time and place where an authentic Korean theatrical, historical and artistic experience welcomes all.

With beautiful colors in elegant traditional hanbok, magnificent interior of the Joseon palace and a unique mixture of both traditional and Western music the scene is perfect for an epic theatre stage.

'Dae Jang Geum' was directed by Lee Ji-na.

Tickets are priced at 50,000 won for a royal seat and 30,000 won for special seat.
