JCS chief inspects military readiness at missile command, fighter wing

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Kim Myung-soo inspected military readiness against North Korea's nuclear and missile threats, Friday at an Army missile command and an Air Force fighter wing.

Kim inspected the Army Missile Strategic Command and the Air Force 8th Fighter Wing to check on their readiness posture on the first day of the extended Lunar New Year holiday, according to military officials,

During the inspection of the missile command, Kim examined the mission implementation system, and ordered soldiers to maintain an "airtight" missile response posture and firmly hit back in the case of an enemy provocation, the officials said. (Yonhap)
