Sejong University will host the 2026 Sejong International Summer Program (SISP), a four-week international summer education initiative for undergraduate students from its partner institutions around the globe.
The program will run on the Sejong University campus from June 29 to July 24, 2026. All courses are taught in English and aligned with the university’s summer term schedule.
Participants can enroll in courses worth three to six credits across a range of academic fields, including AI and data studies, engineering, Korean studies, biohealth and basic sciences.
SISP also features a research internship track. Students will join research teams in science and engineering labs, working on projects such as functional foods, food genomics, drone navigation and control and satellite geophysics.
Interns are expected to complete at least 160 hours of research activities and submit reports and presentations for evaluation. The program aims to strengthen pathways for outstanding international students to pursue graduate study at Sejong University.
Cultural immersion is a core component of the summer program. Alongside academic and research activities, participants will engage in extracurricular events such as dance classes, Korean cuisine workshops and field trips for cultural experiences.
Weekly Friday excursions will include visits to the DMZ, Gyeongbok Palace and a Han River cruise.
Applications opened in January. Early-bird applicants and students from partner universities are eligible for up to 20 percent off the program fee. Details and application instructions are available on the official SISP website.
“The program is designed to provide high-impact learning experiences based on short-term mobility to develop global competencies and that the university plans to expand international research and education programs,” Sejong University International Affairs Office Director Lee Chung-hoo said in a press release.
