BREAKING Park to deliver national address at 2:30 p.m.

President Park Geun-hye will deliver a national address at 2:30 p.m., said the presidential office said Tuesday.

It will be her third televised address regarding the corruption scandal involving long-time friend Choi Soon-sil and other close aides.

Yesterday, senior lawmakers loyal to the scandal-rocked head of state collectively urged Park to step down.

Former National Assembly speakers and other elderly politicians also demanded the President leave office by April.

Park, whose presidency has been engulfed by the scandal, has apologized twice but resisted mounting public calls to step down.
