Police have arrested the operators of websites that imitated Korea’s largest online porn distributor, “Soranet.”

Busan Metropolitan Police Agency (BMPA) said Wednesday three of the websites’ operators, including the main operator, surnamed Seo, were arrested. They are pursuing 10 others who allegedly uploaded child pornography to the websites.

Seo has been charged with opening the websites in October 2015 and allegedly distributing more than 300,000 pornographic posts for some 110,000 subscribers. The websites copied the formats of Soranet and Ilbe Storehouse, the nation’s popular right-wing online community.

Seo allegedly earned about 80 million won ($71,000) operating the websites, according to online news outlet News1.

BMPA found the websites had no adult verification measures, allowing anyone to access them.

They had more than 80,000 visitors daily until recently shut down.

The probe was launched

when police found the websites while investigating online child pornography.
