Chuseok packages for those who don't travel

The biggest national holiday is just around the corner. Those who don’t want to travel far for the five-day holiday can take a short break in the city at these hotels.

Grand Hyatt Seoul

Grand Hyatt Seoul’s Chuseok package is available between Sept. 14 and 18. Guests will enjoy a one-night stay in a Grand Room with views of Mount Nam; complimentary access to the hotel’s 24-hour gym and indoor and outdoor swimming pools; and complimentary shuttle bus service to Itaewon, Myeong-dong and Namsangol Hanok Village from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m.

Children aged five to 12 can enjoy complementary access to Grand Camping, an outdoor play zone that offers kite making and flying; tuho, a game of throwing sticks into a canister; jegichagi, or tassel kicking; and yunnori, a traditional Korean board game. Guests can enjoy complimentary hotel shuttle bus service to the hanok village, which offers a glimpse into Korea’s long-standing traditions. In addition, the hotel’s proximity to Mount Nam Park offers guests plenty of opportunities to explore the park’s walking trails and gardens and capture the best of fall while letting stress melt away into total relaxation. W-Seoul Walkerhill

For singles who plan to spend the holiday alone, W-Seoul Walkerhill can be an option.

The hotel’s “Holiday Detox” package includes two nights in a Wonderful room, breakfast buffet for two days, access to the indoor swimming pool and fitness center and free Wi-Fi.

A friend can stay in the room for free but will have to pay for extras, such as breakfast and the spa services at the fitness center.

Guest will also receive 100,000 food and beverage credits that can be use in the hotel. The package costs 560,000 won, excluding tax and service charges. The hotel will start taking reservations for the package on Sept. 10.

For those with family, the hotel offers family “Retox” package, including a one-night stay in a Wonderful room, buffet breakfast for two, pizza and two Coca-Cola for room service, access to the sauna for moms, access to the swimming pool and fitness center and free Wi-Fi. Guests will also receive a 15 percent discount at either of the restaurants, Kitchen or Namu, and a discount at the hotel’s spa.

Conrad Seoul

Conrad Seoul’s “Lucky Family Chuseok Holiday Package” for families features a one-night stay in a luxury room with a stunning view of the Han River, buffet breakfast and access to the gym and indoor swimming pool.

All customers can play the traditional yunnori game. Prizes include a Conrad bear, a bottle of wine, and an IFC Mall skincare voucher worth 20,000 won. The Conrad Bear will be in display for a photo.
