A Grammy-nominated British DJ who was arrested here in June for alleged drug smuggling is to stand trial.
The Seoul Central District Court is set to try his case. The date for his first hearing has not been decided yet.
The DJ was arrested at a customs checkpoint at Incheon International Airport with a 1.5-liter bottle allegedly filled with drugs, he disguised as a water bottle.
The DJ is accused of allegedly smuggling 3.78 liters of gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), also known as the date rape drug, into Korea four times from January to June. The value is estimated at 370 million won ($340,000) and the quantity is enough to dose 1,000 people.

The DJ has reportedly denied the allegations, saying that he did not know the water bottle was filled with GHB.

According to the police the DJ sold the GHB to a CEO of a pharmaceutical company, surnamed Choi, and his twin brother.
