A magnitude-2.3 earthquake hit Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province on Sunday, according to Yonhap news agency.
“Tremors from the quake were barely felt and no damage has been reported,” said a Meteorological Office official in Jeonju.
The quake is the first reported in the province since a magnitude-3.9 quake hit Iksan city on Dec. 22, 2015.
A tremor is usually felt when it originates from a quake of 3.0 or higher.
