A 20-meter “Super Moon” will float above Seokchon Lake in southern Seoul from Sept. 1 to Oct. 3.

It is the second such promotional event by Lotte Group, which is building the nation’s tallest (555 meters) skyscraper near the lake.

In 2014 a giant duck-shaped balloon, named “Rubber Duck,” floated on the lake.

The moon-shaped balloon will appear in seven colors from one hour before sunset to 10 p.m. every day. It will be flanked by eight balloons measuring four or five meters.

“FriendsWithYou” ― U.S. Installation art duo Samuel Albert Borkson and Arturo Sandoval ― designed the “Super Moon project, according to Lotte.

The main balloon will be lit in gold during Chuseok.
