Free ticket to ride new Incheon subway line

Incheon Transit Corporation will provide free rides on Incheon subway line No.2 on July 29, before its grand opening.

The trial will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. from any of the line’s 27 stations.

But passengers who want to transfer to Incheon subway line No.1 or Gyeongin subway line will have to pay fees at the transit gates.

The new line extends over 29.2 kilometers and travels from Geomdam Industrial Complex Station to Unyeon Station.

Line 2, which will be an unmanned automatic system, will officially open at 5:30 a.m. on July 30.
