A civic group filed complaints with the prosecution, Tuesday, against Mr. Pizza Korea (MPK) Group Chairman Jung Woo-hyun and Daelim Industrial Vice Chairman Lee Hae-wook for allegedly assaulting workers.

Jung has been under police investigation for allegedly beating a building security guard in Seoul. The guard closed the shutters of the building’s entrance on Saturday night without knowing Jung and others were still inside, and Jung allegedly struck him in the face.

Lee allegedly abused his drivers verbally and physically, demanding they stop using side mirrors while driving and that they drive at fast speeds.

“We call for a thorough investigation as the large business owners disrespected ordinary people and violated their basic rights,” said a member of the group, the Committee for Commoners’ Life.

In the meantime, Jung posted an official apology on Mr. Pizza’s website. “It’s my fault,” he said. “I truly apologize to the victim. I also apologize to the public for causing this stir. I feel responsible.”

Company officials said they are trying to contact the guard so Jung can visit him and apologize.
