KFC Korea blasted for sexist advertisement

KFC Korea is under attack for a recent advertisement that disparages women.

The advertisement, displayed at several bus stops in Seoul, carried the message that men come eat the latest KFC burger to calm their anger with their girlfriends who keep making unreasonable demands.

The video version on KFC Korea's Facebook page contains the following conversations between a couple.

"Honey! Buy me a luxury bag to uplift my spirits," the woman says.

"What about how I feel?" the man responds.

In the second conversation, which seemed to take place as the man pays the bill, a woman says, "Honey, please let me save up the points on my card."

"Then why don't you pay for it," the man answers.

In the last conversation, the woman asks, "Do you know what you did wrong?"

The man says, "Meeting you?"

The advertisement sparked uproar on Twitter after a user tweeted about it.

KFC Korea posted an apology on its website on Monday morning and deleted all pictures and posts related to the advertisement.
