The ibis Ambassador Seoul Gangnam is changing its name to the ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Gangnam from Sept. 1.

The ibis Styles is an upscale economy brand run by French hotel group Accor. The brand offers guestrooms, breakfast and Internet access at a reasonable price and with unique designs. It will be the second ibis Styles property in Seoul after the ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Myeongdong.

W Seoul-Walkerhill offers an urban-healing themed “W Retreat” package from Sept. 7 to the end of November.

The package includes a one-night stay, buffet breakfast for two at W Restaurant and access to Water Zone for two. The Water Zone consists of pools with different temperatures and an open-air Japanese Hinoki spa. Lotte Hotel Seoul’s Chinese restaurant, Toh Lim, presents a special promotion until Oct. 31 that allows guests to make their own meal by choosing their own menu.

Sixteen main dishes are available, including sesame chicken with spicy garlic sauce, fried chicken with spicy and sour soy sauce and Cantonese-style sweet and sour pork. Eight kinds of dim sum also are on offer. The promotion will be available for lunch and dinner weekdays. On Fridays, guests can bring their own drinks without a charge. On Saturdays and Sundays, executive Chinese chef Yeo Kyung-ok will present major Chinese delicacies _ bird’s nest soup with crabmeat, whole abalone and shark’s fin. Park Hyatt Seoul’s restaurant, Cornerstone, presents “Ladies Who Lunch” from Sept. 1.

The promotion will give female guests a chance to create their own three-course meal, from salad to main dishes. The main dish choices are steak sandwich, pasta or fish of the day, served with roasted vegetables. On the dessert platter will be five kinds of mini desserts that will be served with coffee. During the meal, guests also can choose between a craft beer and fruit juice. The promotion hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. The cost is 46,000 won a person. Sheraton Grande Walkerhill’s lobby lounge, The Pavilion, features a seasonal dessert buffet from Sept. 5 to Nov. 29 every Saturday and Sunday. The exceptions are Sept. 26 and 27 and Oct. 10 and 11.

Twenty-six desserts will be presented, along with a selection of light meals and beverages. The desserts will feature pomegranates and blueberries. The light meal menu will include a blueberry sandwich and gorgonzola cheese pizza. The buffet will open between 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., with a 30-minute break from 3 p.m. The buffet costs 48,000 won for adults, 30,000 won for children and 25,000 won for pre-school children.
