Lotte Korea Chairman Shin Dong-bin is currently meeting his father Shin Kyuk-ho at Lotte Hotel in downtown Seoul. Shin arrived Monday in Seoul from Japan, and vowed to do his best to normalize the situation.
It is not known if his older brother Dong-joo is taking part in the meeting.
Dong-bin is in engaged in a public fight with his father and his older brother over control of the nation’s fifth-largest conglomerate.
“This situation should be swiftly resolved and settled,” Dong-bin said after arriving at Gimpo Airport on Monday.
Shin Dong-bin has been in Japan to gather support for a vote at a shareholders’ meeting. He has been at odds with his older brother, Dong-joo, and his father over the business, which has more than 80 trillion won in annual sales in Korea alone.
